Shedding Light on Major Savings
LIGHTING costs a business as well as the environment. In most commercial premises, lighting often accounts for a massive 60 per cent of total electrical costs.
But by installing energy saving luminaries and controls, companies can reduce this expense and start recouping the initial costs implementation. And Intelligent Energy Saving Lighting (IESL), situated on the Crow Lane Industrial Estate in Northampton, is ideally placed to advise on how state-of-the-art technology in lighting systems can help reduce energy bills and CO2 emissions by anything up to 90 per cent.
One company reaping the benefits is MAHLE Powertrian Ltd, a leading provider of integrated powertrain solutions to the global automotive industry and related supplier business, who are saving £15,000 a year after calling in the IESL experts.
That is one of the smaller savings IESL have been able to achieve. At the other end of scale, The Co-operative savings total £200,000 a year; Shoe Zone £150,000 a year and DHL £100,000 a year. The CO2 saving across these four sites is in excess of 2,000 tonnes.
IESL's manufacturing partners have more than 30 years of lighting manufacturing experience, and by working closely with the partners, ISEL ensure that all the intelligent luminaries are designed and manufactured to UK specification.
The IESL commercial and industrial range is designed and developed with innovative features to ensure manpower and installation times are kept to an absolute minimum. The exclusive range of projects targets specific lighting requirements and fittings can be tailored to a client's exact requirements via the 'Special Projects' service.
Three other benefits of choosing IESL are free-of-charge WEEE directive disposal service; five-year guarantee on all control gear; and one-year on-site warranty on all parts and labour.
For companies interested in installing energy saving lighting and controls. IESL can arrange an on site free-of-charge survey, which includes assessment of current lighting levels and energy consumption costs; the gathering of all the correct detailed logistical layout information; a check on current lighting controls; and noting how many hours, days, weeks and months the lights are using power before presenting the various energy and cost saving options available to the business based on the factual findings of the report.
